Rules & Code of Ethics
Rules & Regulations
- Companies Applying for Membership must hold good reputations in terms of finance, operations, communications, sales coordination, and other professional factors.
- Companies applying for membership must have been established in the freight forwarding and/or logistics business for a minimum of 3 years
- Applicants must submit three (3) references from agents you currently do business with, outside the country in which you are located. Email addresses/phone numbers must be provided.
- Companies that are in more than 3 networks in addition to applying for IFN membership may not be approved for membership if they are not able to attend Annual Meetings and devote enough resources to make their investment in our network worthwhile.
- IFN Basic member must keep at least one-year beginner level membership and attend first available Annual General Meeting (AGM). After successfully completion of 1st year membership, the company must advise two references from inside of the network who can confirm service quality and credibility to become a GOLD/VERIFIED member: It is for maximum security, maximum performance and to the benefit of our members!
- IFN members should share utmost business within network for self-benefits and other IFN members.
- It is mandatory for all IFN members to attend the Annual meetings. Failure to attend two consecutive years without reason will result in termination of the membership.
- For all ongoing IFN business requiring offsets, unless otherwise agreed, both parties should provide statements for settlement by the 10th of each month.
- Any amounts that pass the 60 days overdue mark should be reported to the IFN Coordinator.
- If any IFN member requires a credit application to be duly signed and stamp prior to doing business, this should be clearly stated in quotations to all other IFN members. Otherwise, this will not be assumed to be a requirement.
- IFN is not responsible for any claim for which business taken place before membership approval.
- IFN membership invoices for new members are payable upon presentation. For renewals, IFN will send invoice one month in advance. Renewal invoices are due thirty days after the date of the invoices.
- Any bilateral agency contracts between two IFN members are considered to supersede the IFN standards, terms and conditions.
- No IFN members shall solicit any other IFN member for the purpose of having that member join another forwarder network that competes with IFN for membership.
- IFN reserves the right to forfeit the membership of any IFN member soliciting for other networks.
- IFN Protection is not for cargo or insurance. Customs penalties, warehouse charges, storage charges, demurrage charges, value of goods, duties/taxes, errors and omissions are not covered by IFN. This program is applicable for freight payment default only as explained in above. Cargo Claim is not applicable in this program. Each member can obtain the cargo insurance and third party liability insurance separately. Extra amounts, which are not mentioned, on the invoice are not covered, no claim is accepted such as financial damage because of late payment of the debtor.
Code of Ethics
By completing the “Membership Application Form”, the Members automatically accept IFN Code of Ethics.
Respecting the following Code of Conduct is essential to maintain high professionalism, efficiency and transparency within the Network. Non-compliance or disregard for the following rules will result in disciplinary action.
- IFN network is a professional alliance as well as family reunion. Hence, all members are requested to respect all sorts of differences that may exist within the group. No discrimination is allowed! Spiritual believes, cultural backgrounds, ethnicity, gender, etc. must all be respected.
- IFN is union of people and values, and Honesty, Transparency, Integrity and Consistency are its pillar.
- IFN is a professional network with family spirit, so all members are kindly solicit to support their fellows as much as possible, and focus on successfully working together and grow business with respect to each member’s own customer base.
- IFN is your other journey of experiences; hence, members are expected to be open to differences and criticism, assume responsibility of their words and actions, accept their own as well as others’ mistakes, and collaborate to find practical solutions to their problems.
- IFN members are required to provide a reply to all freight inquiries within 24 hours & reply to all sales leads within 48 hours.
- IFN members are requested to agree on a plan of work prior to action and respect it; (i.e. profit sharing, payment currency, etc)
- All members are obligated to assist each other’s, whenever possible, Always adopt a positive approach & promoting sales for mutual growth.
- All payments/accounts must be settled within 30 days from the date of invoice, unless otherwise agreed; Delayed payments from a client, shipper or consignee are not an excuse for non-payment.
- Management has the right to send warning message to the companies in its database.
- IFN management is highly concerned with the quality of cooperation between its members. Thus, members are kindly requested to report all sorts of problem to the management team who will take the right actions.
- Members are invited to show responsibility of all commitments and agreements believed important to IFN. If a member shows non-care or irresponsibility, it is YOUR duty as a member to friendly reminds that person. If you are happy with IFN, tell others. If you are unhappy, tell us! IFN is YOUR network !

Apply For Membership
You must complete and submit the online Membership Application to being the application process
Upon Submission of Application you will receive acknowledgment message from us and if you do not hear from us it is possible we have not received your application, please reach out via our contact form or email.
Our staff will be following up with certain questions and will stay in communication with you through the entire process.
You will be informed when the application process is completed and your company has been accepted.
You will also be sent a draft Profile of your company, which you are to review and confirm your acceptance.
Once your payment has been received we will announce your company to the entire network and will share your approved Profile with thegroup as well as post in our network. Your company will be promoted on our home page as a NEW IFN MEMBER.
